[Review] Groovin' Blocks

Overall Feeling:

Groovin’ Blocks has a cool concept and nice visuals but the gameplay doesn’t exactly register. The game isn’t broken nor does it feel cheap or unrealized. It’s just that the main gimmick of the game doesn’t work as well as it could have.

The Pros:

The music is good. Nice style and presentation. Moving blocks trying to chain them together is fun.

The Cons:

Beat mechanics don’t work that well. No online play. Having to replay levels to earn stars is slightly annoying.

ShogunGamer.com Rating :
7

At this stage of the game we’ve practically seen almost every possible scenario and combination for a puzzle game.  It all started with the classic genre builder that was Tetris, which eventually spurred a vast array games that many had never dreamed of.
