Finally, Fan Expo Vancouver

I have done my fair share of conventions. After a while, you sort of get a feel for what goes on and what to expect, obviously pertaining to the con\'s particular target audience. I was pretty stoked to attend Fan Expo this year as it travelled to Vancouver for the first time. Checking out cool costumes, maybe attending some panels, and spending tons of money in the exhibitor\'s hall traditionally make for a good time. At the end of it all though, the whole experience was feeling a little... light.

Canadian Videogame Awards 2012 - Opinions, Wrap Up and Winners

Last night saw the return of the Canadian Videogame Awards, for its third year. Now a part of Vancouver’s Fan Expo, the show (as described by Victor Lucas) has found itself a more permanent home. The CVAs have been growing via leaps and bounds since their inception, three years ago, with major changes to this year’s show including host David Hayter, and being broadcast on National TV.
