Star Wars and EA Could Be A Perfect Match

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away EA acquired the rights to publish Star Wars video games and in turn made the fantasies of gamers, movie fans, and self-professed geeks come to life. If such a thing occurred nearly a decade ago, back when EA was looked upon as a conglomeration of evil not unlike the Imperial Army, this news would've been one of disappointment, but now it’s a reality and actually good news all considered.

Shinji Mikami and Bethesda Unveil The Evil Within

The teasing done by Bethesda Softworks has finally ended and as expected we have the debut of Shinji Mikami’s new survival horror game. Formerly known as Zwei, Shinji’s new game under his Tango Gameworks studio is now dubbed The Evil Within; a title that’s rather fitting of the horrors that are promised to be experienced within the title.

Boba Fett Was To Be Lead In Star Wars 1313

Star Wars fans may be none too pleased today, not just because of the closure of LucasArts and the subsequent cancellation of unreleased games, but because Star Wars 1313 was set to be a Boba Fett game.

Despite the Fett family having a shaky video game history thanks to the kind of fun/kind of dreadful Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, LucasArts was ready to give the video game treatment to Boba Fett in a massive action game.

Not So Good Doom 4 Details Surface [Rumor]

It’s once again time for another series of torrid developments woes/stories, this time coming out of the once invulnerable studio that is id Software. Helping to launch what is now considered the most popular genre in gaming today, id hasn’t exactly stayed on top of the world – not just because John Romero and his beautiful set of hair left the company, but because things are amiss in the world of Doom.

No, badass undercover cop extraordinaire Wei Shen hasn’t returned in a Sleeping Dogs follow-up as we instead have our first “look” at the new Thief title.

Suda 51 Teases Next Game From Grasshopper Manufacture

Grasshopper Manufacture may not have even finished their upcoming game yet, but the studio is already prepping and discussing, albeit of a cryptic nature, their next title.  While talking about the studio’s forthcoming PS3/Xbox 360 action game Killer Is Dead, GhM mastermind and overall creative genius Suda 51 revealed a few key pieces of info regarding the next game from the studio.

Battlefield 4 Debut Footage Shows Shooting, Explosions, and Forced Drama [Video]

As expected, EA went on to announce Battlefield 4 in a grand fashion last night to live up to the popularity the series has gained for the past decade or so.  The existence of a new Battlefield game isn’t too much of a shocker considering we’ve known about it since BF3 was released and it has been incessantly teased for the last week or so.

So other than not knowing how far DICE was aiming to push the visual bar and up the action, it was business as usual for the Battlefield franchise and that’s apparent in this rather dull gameplay footage.

Star Wars 1313 Reportedly On Hold [Rumor]

Even though it’s one of the most recognizable and popular franchises in the world, Star Wars simply can’t catch a break when it comes to the world of video games.  After starting out strong in the mid 1990s, the Star Wars franchise has slowly declined in recent years through a derth of interesting releases. Now there's another disturbance in the Force which could result in yet another Star Wars being cancelled.

Assassin's Creed IV Details Leaked, Set To Include Assassin Pirates

Now on a yearly schedule like that of the Madden and Call of Duty series, it shouldn’t be a surprise that Ubisoft has a new Assassin’s Creed in the works.  The third entry, at least numbered entry, in the series had gamers in two distinct camps when it was released last year, yet here we are on the verge of yet another installment being prepped which appears to be more of the same.
