Tomb Raider Preview [E3 2012]

Video games may not have been around for as nearly as films have been or even classic literature, but there are a few characters as iconic as protagonists like Hamlet or film icons like Han Solo.  Characters like Link and Mario are timeless video game characters who have manage to stay relevant as the years have gone by.  One character who in a lot of ways broke a few of the longtime molds of the video game industry was none other than Lara Croft, the star of the Tomb Raider franchise.  For nearly twenty years Ms.

Legacy of Kain Could Finally Be Coming Back [Rumor]

We may soon receive one of those rare occasions in which we’ll receive a sequel or at least a reboot of a video games series that deserves to make a triumphant return. For years there’s been a dedicated sect of gamers who wanted to see the Legacy of Kain series continue in any fashion, either through games focused on Kain or somehow further continue the Raziel series even though his journey seemingly came to a rather ironic and bittersweet ending.

Besides TRON, the one thing I totally geek out over is ReBoot.  The slightly underrated CG TV show gave my imagination a complete upgrade when I watched it as a kid and I will forever hold the series in high regard as it’s something that has influenced me quite a lot.  After the news of ReBoot’s imminent arrival on DVD made me squeal like a girl, there’s now even better news: Seasons 1 & 2 will be available on store shelves in March.

If you were a child of the early to mid 90s who even at a young age had an affinity for cool and slightly geeky TV shows then you may’ve seen ReBoot.  First hitting the airwaves in 1994, ReBoot was the first TV show to be completely rendered via computer animation. Looking at the show now, some may think the animation and visuals are crude, but for its time ReBoot was the pinnacle of CG animation and it was impressive as hell that Mainframe Entertainment pumped out 23 minute shows as fast as they did.
