TL;DR

TL;DR - July 30 - Preorders, Durango, E3

It’s been a while… but I think the recent resurrection of my previous ‘passion project’, Why You Should Care, brought me back around to the idea of restarting my other ‘claim to fame’: TL;DR. As some of you may remember, it’s an opportunity for Shogun to catch up on some of the smaller stories of the day and provide you with the news you need, when the items themselves weren’t particularly large enough for a full ‘feature’.

TL;DR - Mar 23 - Mohawks, Prey 2, Adventure Time!

Happy Friday fellow Shogunites! The week, as long as it may have felt, has finally concluded its grind. Its time to kick back, relax, and dig into whatever game you’re currently working your way through… unless you’re the going out on Friday night kind, in which case: Happy Saturday! Today’s TL;DR offers up some exciting news for the DS in the form of an Adventure Time game. Ubisoft is making plans to shave heads and tattoo attendees at PAX East (exciting!), and some GDC cancellations have the internet talking games that might be canned.

TL;DR - Mar 22 - Bayonetta, Dust 514, Alan Wake 2

My apologizes for the brief (week) and unplanned hiatus of TL;DR. The good news is that it’s back, and hopefully will retain its nightly-routine for the foreseeable future. There’s been a lot that’s happened since I’ve been gone, but I’m not going to bother playing catch-up on all of it. Instead, let’s just pick up from today shall we? : Bayonetta has been announced as joining in with Anarchy Reigns. There’s a rumor about Alan Wake 2 making an appearance on the Xbox 720, and there was some live footage of Dust 514 that was shown today.

TL;DR - Mar 14 - Baldur's Countdown, Sega, Dynasty Warriors 3DS

Another late night edition of the TL;DR segment, though this one with good reason! Earlier tonight I got to attend The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses, so I was a little bit late getting back to my desk. None the less! There is new information for you today in the form of: Sega joining forces to provide their ‘top games’ on Origin. The Baldur’s Gate teaser site has received an update, in countdown form, and Samus and Link will be playable characters on the 3DS version of Dynasty Warriors.

TL;DR - Mar 13 - DFA Final Tally, Sonic 4: Ep 3, XBL Outage

It looks like tonight I’m doing a super-late edition of our evening meet-up friends. But don’t you fear, a new TL;DR is here! Also, that rhymed, so I should get bonus points. In today’s TL;DR I recap a couple of things that broke my little fan boy heart: Sonic 4 is apparently not getting a third episode, and Xbox Live was killing achievements through-out the day. The good news? Mr. Schafer has wrapped up his quest to fund a new adventure game with a cool 3.3 million.

TL;DR - Mar 12 - GDC 2012, Scrolls, Achievements

Happy Monday Shogun Gamer-ites! Gamers? That makes more sense. Shogun Gamers! It’s the first day of a new week, and that means I can get started on recapping some of the stories we didn’t get around to throughout the day. Today I shine the spotlight on a couple of smaller stories that piqued my personal interest, and you might be interested in as well: Microsoft has increased their points on XBLA titles to 400! Mojang and Bethesda settled the ‘Scrolls’ dispute, and GDC announces their numbers for 2012.

TL;DR - Mar 9 - Durango, SteamBox, Heavy Hitters

First of all, I have to throw out an apology for not getting around to a TL;DR yesterday. Due to an unforeseen migraine I had to 1) bail out of a party early, and 2) bail out of working. Sadface. Anyways! We’re back tonight, and I’ve got a couple of stories that caught my eye that I wanted to share: Microsoft’s next console doesn’t have a disc-drive, Valve confirms the SteamBox is NOT a thing… yet, and BioShock Infinite reveals their new mid-tier bosses the ‘heavy hitters.’

TL;DR - Mar 5 - Fable Heroes, Forza Horizon, Halo 4

This week, as many of you are already aware, marks GDC 2012. Ian and I will be reporting from the show-floor all week long, and (hopefully) will be providing a bit of a video wrap up at the end of each day to talk about what we’ve seen. In the meantime, here’s a couple stories that broke today for your standard TL;DR goodness: The reveal of Fable Heroes, new media for Halo 4 and an announcement for the next title in the Forza series.

TL;DR - Mar 2 - AC3 Images, Notch, GAME

Happy Friday all! It looks like we all managed to make it to the weekend, so here’s to celebrating with some good friends, good video games and (if you’re of the persuasion, and of age) a good strong drink. Today in TL;DR I recap a couple of stories that caught my attention including: Assassin’s Creed III’s leaked (in-game) images, Notch giving away $3 million dollars to his employees, and GAME’s calculated losses for not being able to stock Mass Effect 3.

TL;DR - Mar 1 - Noobz, Stan Lee, Capcom/Sega/Namco

Friday is closing in friends, a couple more hours and we’ll be in the last leg of the work-week before freedom is finally provided! In today’s TL;DR I cover a the release of the trailer for the Noobz film, the announcement that Stan Lee is a playable character in Amazing Spider-man, and the latest information in the continuing saga of the Sega/Capcom/Namco project for the 3DS.
