Uncharted Is Returning To The Vita Once Again In An Unexpected Game

Fans of the Uncharted series may be happy to hear that the franchise is making a return to the PlayStation Vita in a smaller and less action oriented adventure.  After serving as a launch game for the Vita earlier this year, Uncharted is returning to Sony’s handheld once more in Uncharted: Fight or Fortune - a new card based game.

Uncharted Film Starts From Scratch Yet Again

Just the other day I was thinking about what was the status of the Uncharted movie. I know that wondering about such a thing may seem trivial in a sense or I would be better off thinking about video game movies starring Michael Fassbender, but nonetheless I wondered where the Uncharted film stood in the giant machine that is Hollywood film development.

Sony Reveals A Plethora Of New Uncharted Tie-In Products (Awesome News For Toy Collectors)

As if the San Diego Comic couldn’t become an even bigger show for video game news and general goodness, Sony has revealed several major Uncharted related products that will debut at the show this week. Aside from Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception being playable on the showfloor and an Uncharted panel with key talent from the game happening on Friday, Sony will be debuting several cool new Uncharted products with an array of partners ranging from collectible manufacturers and comic book companies.

The Uncharted Film Could Finally Be Back On Track

The great search for a new director to helm the live-action Uncharted film is already over, a bit sooner than I expected, and Sony Pictures has found a man whose vision of Uncharted is supposedly what they were looking for.  Taking over on Uncharted’s cinematic debut is director Neil Burger.  A great many of you out there may not know Neil’s name unless you’re a complete movie buff, but his last film was the drama “Limitless” starring Bradley Cooper.

Our Prayers Have Been Answered: David O. Russell No Longer Writing/Directing The Uncharted Film

The Uncharted franchise is one that’s quickly approaching the iconic stage after the success of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and the impending release of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. But there was one possible potential stumble for the Uncharted series with the production of the live-action adaptation in the works at Sony Pictures. Uncharted has all the makings to be a potential mega-hit film franchise, but after acclaimed director/writer David O. Russell (Three Kings, The Fighter) came aboard, things took a turn for the worst.

Uncharted 3 Has An Unlikely Villain [Video]

The Uncharted series has always done a rather excellent job at giving us good villains.  Instead of having a somewhat outlandish baddie, we’ve faced off against guys who were either ruthless or insane but never quite reached cartoon type levels of insanity.  Uncharted is basically a pulp novel or comic book come to life but the series thankfully hasn’t stayed too close to its pulp nature by giving us villains who really aren’t interesting at all.

Get The Pitchforks Ready, David O. Russell Talks About The Uncharted Film Once Again

I know it’s probably all unintentional and that the man means no harm, but it almost appears that whenever David O. Russell publicly speaks about his forthcoming live-action adaptation of Uncharted that he immediately puts his foot in his mouth.  As has been chronicled thoroughly on Shogun Gamer, Sony Pictures (WOW what a surprise!) attained the film rights to Uncharted and subsequently pegged director/writer David O.

NGP (PSP2) News Round-Up: Pricing, Battery Life and Videos Galore

It’s been a few hours but the video game industry and gamers alike are still buzzing over Sony’s reveal of the NGP i.e. the PSP2.  Everyone knew that Sony would show their PSP successor at some point, but I think we’re all still shocked because for once the pre-reveal hype and initial hardware rumors didn’t fall apart when the actual news came in. If anything, the NGP somewhat surpassed the initial expectations gamers had for Sony’s latest handheld unit.

PlayStation Meeting 2011: Sony Announces PlayStation Suite And PSP2!

Sony held their much hyped about PlayStation Meeting in Japan today/tonight and as expected the event had several surprises in store for us.  Once SCE President/CEO Kaz Hirai took the stage things went into the basic rundown of what Sony is trying to achieve as a company along with a few specific bullet point achievements that the PS3 has made so far.  Kaz then proceeded to go into announcement mode with the reveal of PlayStation Suite.  For the past four months we’ve seen the leaked tech specs, images and videos for the Xperia Play, the device that was once dubbed the PlaySt

Mark Wahlberg comments on the recent Uncharted movie rumors

When it comes to the live-action Uncharted movie, things just aren’t looking good.  After getting a glimmer of hope that the project won’t be utter crap when it was claimed that the earlier plot and casting news was incorrect, it actually turns out that those comments were compl
