First image/tease of Batman: Arkham City

To some it was a massive disappointment that we didn’t any new info on Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 at E3 or at the San Diego Comic Con.  Aside from the Spike VGA reveal and a few character reveals via voice actors, and some interesting domain registrations, we’ve haven’t gotten a peep as to the next adventure of the Dark Knight.

Deadly combat is engaged in these new Mortal Kombat screens

If there’s been any franchise that has had such a positive turn around amongst the core gaming community it has to be the newest iteration of Mortal Kombat.  Throughout the years MK has remained in the hearts of the gaming community, as evident by the solid sales, but compared to other fighting games on the market it hasn’t exactly aged gracefully. But then Midway Chicago, oops I mean Netherealm Studios, revealed Mortal Kombat 9 and it simply wowed gamers.

WB Interactive announces the Green Lantern game

With the San Diego Comic Con going on right now there’s plenty of awesome news going around.  Stuff like Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and TRON: Legacy has been major show highlights since they’re so damn awesome.  Well not everything announced at or in conjunction with SDCC 2010 can be awesome and that’s clear with Warner Brothers Interactive announcement of the Green Lantern game.

Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 domain names offer some hints

To some the lack of updates for Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 at E3 was a huge disappointment. It would’ve definitely been nice to see what sort of action Batman has to face in Arkham Asylum 2, even if all we got was yet another pre-rendered teaser trailer. But with the game being a ways off from release, maybe it was for the best that WB Interactive didn’t tease us of the Batman goodness that awaits.

New Mortal Kombat game announced by Warner Brothers [UPDATED WITH TRAILER]

With the Mortal Kombat hype high after the release of the MK film pitch video, Warner Brothers Interactive has announced the latest Mortal Kombat game.  Simply titled Mortal Kombat, the game promises to take gamers back the glory days of the franchise as the game will feature a “mature presentation.”  Best of all the new MK game will be a 2D fighter similar to Street Fighter IV and the upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

UPDATE - Is this the first look at the Mortal Kombat reboot? [Video]

UPDATE - The video has been confirmed to be a pitch made by director Larnell Stovall.  This is Stovall's reimaging of the MK series and at this point is merely a pitch to WB as a potential film.  So this is sadly unrelated to MK9 and isn't even greenlit as a film.

New F.3.A.R. trailer shows off Paxton Fettel [Video/Screens]

When your mom is a lady with unique supernatural powers and was experimented on as a girl it shouldn’t be surprising if you find yourself bestowed with “unique” abilities.  In fact Paxton Fettel seems to be quite used to the gifts his mom Alma passed onto him, even if he happens to be dead.

F.3.A.R. trailer shows gameplay and an awesome beard

This latest trailer for F.3.A.R. (yes I’m calling it by its proper name) shows that it’s hero Point Man is quite a badass. But that shouldn’t be too surprising since his mom is a super powered entity and he also has a beard. And we all know that anyone who’s sporting a beard is badass mofo.

Two villains for Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 are leaked

When Batman: Arkham Asylum was announced, or rather teased, back in December one question immediate sprung in everyone’s mind.  The big question was “Which adversaries from Batman’s prolific Rogues Gallery would appear in the sequel?”  The first game had a decent roster but to some it was a bit tiny, especially given the scope of the game.  Besides a few enemies being hinted at in the teaser trailer, we now have some confirmations on some villains thanks to actors not shutting their yaps.

First Legend of Guardians game trailer (it's a new game with talking owls!)

Legend of Guardians is the latest film from director Zack Snyder, a man most of us know for giving us 300 and Watchmen.  Legend of Guardians is a bit of a departure for Snyder as it’s a family friendly film about talking owls going on a deep journey filled with adventure.  I know going from Spartan warriors and naked blue guys with cosmic powers to talking owls is a bit much. But based on the trailer (watch it here) Legend of Guardians looks ok, even with one too many slow-mo shots.
