Is a game adaptation of Apocalypse Now being made?

There are some things that should just be left untouched when it comes to remakes and/or video game adaptations. In the past developers and license holders have been rather wise when it comes to bringing classic pieces of literatures or films to the world of gaming. Aside from the mixed bag that was Dante’s Inferno and crap projects like turning the Steve McQueen classic “The Great Escape” and “Reservoir Dogs” into PS2 games, things have been generally fine.

Laura Croft Gets A Snow Day [Figure]

I think that Laura Croft might have been my first video-game crush. She’s a smokin’ hot babe with smarts and strength. The original Tomb Raider titles were classic games that I’ll always look back on fondly. I really hope that one day we get a return to glory for her. Until that day arrives though, Sideshow Collectibles has been nice enough to bestow us with an amazing new Laura Croft figure.

Capcom may soon announce Marvel vs. Capcom 3

In the past two years the fighting genre has gotten a resurgence of sorts with releases like Soul Calibur IV, Tekken 6 and BlazBlue.  Now one of the most popular fighting franchises ever could finally be receiving a direct sequel if a recent rumor is to be believed.

Concept art from Legends, a canceled game from Pandemic

A lot of developers have gotten a raw deal this gen and Pandemic was one of them.  After two lackluster releases (Mercenaries 2, Lotr: Conquest) the studio released The Saboteur, which was perhaps their best game. But in an ironic twist The Saboteur was Pandemic’s last title as Electronic Arts announced they were closing the studio.

Get Equipped with Mega Man Hoodie

I love hoodies. I love everything about them, and for some reason they make the perfect nerd medium for all kind of cool designs. There have been tons of adaptions for things like Star Wars, and other films. Now it seems like video games are finally getting their share of the hooded spot-light.

PAX Prime Registration Begins

PAX East feels like a distant dream. It was forever ago that we sent a couple of our writers out there to cover the mayhem, and apparently go to Cheers without a certain fan… Ahem. Oh, wait a minute… no that was just earlier this week! I guess the guys over at Penny Arcade fully intend to capitalize on the hype of the first ever PAX East to remind everyone that PAX Prime is coming up “shortly.”
