TL;DR - Mar 5 - Fable Heroes, Forza Horizon, Halo 4

This week, as many of you are already aware, marks GDC 2012. Ian and I will be reporting from the show-floor all week long, and (hopefully) will be providing a bit of a video wrap up at the end of each day to talk about what we’ve seen. In the meantime, here’s a couple stories that broke today for your standard TL;DR goodness: The reveal of Fable Heroes, new media for Halo 4 and an announcement for the next title in the Forza series.

Darksiders II Limited & Collector’s Editions Announced.

THQ revealed today that there will be not one but two special editions of their upcoming action adventure sequel starring Death of the Four Horsemen, Darksiders II. There will be a Limited Edition that will available at no additional cost to all who pre-order the game whereas the Collector's Edition will require some extra cash in order to obtain it.

TL;DR - Mar 2 - AC3 Images, Notch, GAME

Happy Friday all! It looks like we all managed to make it to the weekend, so here’s to celebrating with some good friends, good video games and (if you’re of the persuasion, and of age) a good strong drink. Today in TL;DR I recap a couple of stories that caught my attention including: Assassin’s Creed III’s leaked (in-game) images, Notch giving away $3 million dollars to his employees, and GAME’s calculated losses for not being able to stock Mass Effect 3.

TL;DR - Mar 1 - Noobz, Stan Lee, Capcom/Sega/Namco

Friday is closing in friends, a couple more hours and we’ll be in the last leg of the work-week before freedom is finally provided! In today’s TL;DR I cover a the release of the trailer for the Noobz film, the announcement that Stan Lee is a playable character in Amazing Spider-man, and the latest information in the continuing saga of the Sega/Capcom/Namco project for the 3DS.

TL;DR - Feb 29 - Baldur's Gate, Assassin's Creed, Sim City 5

Does it seem like TL;DR is up a little early tonight? Fair point, it is, but that’s because I wasn’t going to leave you in the lurch just because I’ve got business to attend later tonight! Today’s TL;DR features a brief discussion about a potential Sim City 5 announcement, a potential Baldur’s Gate return, and a tease from Ubisoft. You could almost call this a ‘themed episode’!

New Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning DLC Incoming in March.

Big Huge Games announced today that their epic RPG hit, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning will receive brand new story DLC that will be release for Reckoning fans in March. This will be Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning second story DLC, the first being House of Valor DLC pack which was available for free for those who purchased the game new.

TL;DR - Feb 28 - SF Monopoly, White X360, Lionhead Teaser

Alright late-night Shogun fans! Time for another edition of TL;DR, recapping some of the days stories that either fell through the cracks, or were just too small to warrant their own individual pieces. Today I shine the spotlight on the new Xbox Special Edition announcement, Street Fighter getting its only Monopoly board game, and Lionhead’s teaser/countdown site which looks like it will end during GDC…

HBO GO To Debut This Spring On Xbox 360

Don’t be fooled when you see HBO GO appear in the Xbox 360 app marketplace on April 1.

In an interview with Engadget, HBO Co-President Eric Kessler said the company plans to launch the app on April Fools.  The launch is neither a joke nor a coincidence as it coincides with the season two premier of Game of Thrones. The app will allow viewers to stream the cable company’s complete library of movies, documentaries and television shows.

Crytek Developer Drops Interesting Next-Gen Tease

It’s once again time for some vague but possibly substantial updates on the next-generation Xbox console but this time it’s actually something of note as opposed to a mere “what if?” scenario.  Amidst the rumors of Microsoft employing an anti-used games DRM on the next Xbox or that the console would feature a touch screen controller with HD resolution, one somewhat believable next-gen Xbox news tidbit involved the codename of the console.

Latest Diabolical Pitch Video Shows Simplistic Action

This could be the year gamers finally receive a nice line-up of core Kinect games with the arrival of Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor and Crimson Dragon.  Either that or 2012 will be the year in which gamers reach a new high level of bitterness over once again being fooled by fancy technology that isn’t pushed as much as it could have both by those who created it and by developers.
