Overall Feeling:

One of great Resident Evil titles that still stands out after 10 years; with or without that HD shine.

+ Great Resident Evil nostalgic gaming

The Cons:

-Clunky controls.

-HD makeover doesn't really improve the graphics.

Back in 2000, Capcom released Resident Evil Code: Veronica for the Sega Dreamcast. After seeing two more ports one for the Sony's PlayStation 2 in 2001 and the other for Nintendo's Gamecube in 2003, which of course was when the "X" was added to original title, Resident Evil Code: Veronica X once again rises from the grave to scare up PS3 and Xbox 360 owners this time in High Definition.

After wowing us since it was first shown earlier this year, Capcom has announced the release date for Resident Evil: Revelations – the first original RE installment for the Nintendo 3DS.  Gamers have already gotten a taste of what RE: Revelations has to offer thanks to the demo that was included with Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D but now they can enjoy the full game next February in North America.

It has been six years since the initial release of Capcom's Resident Evil 4 for the Nintendo GameCube, and eventual port to PlayStation 2. Now Capcom is providing the option once again to either replay the experience all over again or take part in the adventure for the very first time.

Mega Bomb Monday: Sony Is Finally Releasing PS2 Games On The PSN

There hasn’t been much to complain about this generation on the console front since we have most of the stuff we want at this point.

A Familiar Face Joins The Cast Of Resident Evil: Retribution

Last weekend we received a ton of info concerning Resident Evil: Retribution via series star Milla Jovovich.  Full cast and plot updates weren’t dispensed, but Milla did reveal quite a bit such as one of the plot details and that Sienna Guillory would indeed be returning as Jill Valentine.   Given how silent things have been concerning the new Resident Evil flick, it was nice to get some details on it even if it was confirmed neither Ray Stevenson nor Jensen Ackles

Sony Offers Up Some Major Updates On The PlayStation Vita (Launch Games, New Titles, Battery Life)

Since TGS is kicking off this week Sony decided to have a little shindig before the event officially starts to announce a few very important details about the PlayStation Vita.  Sony may have already dropped the megaton bomb of how much the Vita would cost internationally at E3 this year, but other prime details like battery life, launch titles and 3rd party support were said to be revealed at a later date – which as it turns out was Sony’s TGS 2011 conference.  With gamers having a lot of hype for the Vita given the sudden downturn of the Nintendo 3DS (what the hell is up with th

Asura's Wrath Gets Double The Action With A New Character

Asura’s Wrath is shaping up to be a well-executed action romp that in a way makes no bones about how over-the-top it is.  Having played the game recently at PAX Prime 2011 I walked away from Asura’s Wrath more intrigued about the title yet I wondered if it would be a bit too shallow in some areas.  Beating the crap out of huge deities as a character with six arms is definitely something that I’ve never done before in gaming, but I was worried Asura’s Wrath wouldn’t have a whole lot of depth to it.

Nintendo Does The Unthinkable: Prepping New Control Add-On For 3DS

The past few months haven’t exactly been that kind to the Nintendo 3DS much to the surprise of gamers and those within the money filled halls of Nintendo HQ.  Nailing down the reason the 3DS hasn’t set the world on fire yet is tough to do since it’s easy to put the blame on Nintendo for over-estimating the 3D fad and simply building a minor DS upgrade around such a thing.

Resident Evil Infects the PlayStation Store in September.

Street Fighter x Tekken Hands-on [PAX Prime 2011]

As regulars of the site know, I'm a little bit of a Capcom fan. It's not just that I think they are still the kings of the fighting genre; it's the fact that they've busted out some of the best action games that I've played during my life-long gaming career. So it's easy for me to say that they are one of the highlights at convention tour. At this year's PAX Prime I wound up taking the lead on the fighting games, 'cause seriously, who else is going to own that stuff?
