So I'm still in the process of "moving" & I'm cleaning out the closet of my old apartment when I came across this. (I marked the pics as spoilers so the post wouldn't take up a lot of space)

Cool right? Laughing

OK y'all probably can't see what that stuff is but on the left is 5 years of PSM & the right almost 3 years of OPM.  Don't know why I kept them but I did & now I don't want to throw them away especially since there are so really cool issues/covers

OK so only OPM has the cool covers, PSM covers sucked.  Best thing about the OPMs is they still have the demo disc, all of them!!!

So am I the only packrat that keeps old gaming mags?  Hey DJ, where's the damn poll?

My response to your awesome idea for a forum post.

Now i know the Sega VS SNES war was probably the biggest console war of all time...but there was one other that i happened to find a piece of nostalgia from. Check it.

Corey I love your video posts as much as I love this emoticon Yell

I moved 9 times so the old mags always got thrown out. I grew up buying computer gaming Mags like Computer Gaming World and PC Gamer. Demo discs were awesome. I would always borrow PS1 demo discs off friends cause I couldn't care less for the magazines. As for the cartridge and cd wars, they didn't exists to me. Where I grew up just owning your own or knowing a guy with a system was epic. Now I own all the 3 next-gen systems, RAGS TO RICHES!!! Yell

My most memorable gaming mag:

I'm still waiting for the game.....

LOL I wish I didn't throw out my EGM & Game Pro mags.  Really my mom threw em out, why do moms always do that?  She threw out so much of my stuff.  I remember cartridge vs CDs.  My best friend had a N64 & I had a PS.  I remember saying "at least I don't have to blow into the cartridge when I wanna play a game & he would say "well what if your game gets a scratch, then you got a frisbee with a hole in it"  So epic.  I don't know what's the wierdest or coolest old gaming stuff I got but I'm sure if I do some digging I'll find something.  Now I wish I didn't give away my games & systems.  If I find anything cool I'll post a video

Awesome topic JD and amazing vid Corey. This thread kind of makes me depressed since I had to throw away a ton of my old PSM and GamePro mags awhile back when I moved. But two of my most memorable gaming articles were the EGM article for Too Human back when it was a Blade Runner style PS1 game that was going to be on 4 CDs and the other was the OPM story on Onimusha for the PS1.

I used to get all of those magazines, Gamepro, EGM, OPM, PSM, Play, Nintendo Power, Game Informer (when Gamestop was Funcoland)and I also use to get Tips & Tricks magazine which I first thought was a buyer's guide for hookers. Its funny how much money i used to waste buying 3-4 of those magazines a month and now I dont even glance at them since I get all my gaming info on the world wide web.

My best friend's older brother has all his Nintendo Power magazines from the first issue till about 1998, I used to go shit at his house because he had a huge pile of them by the toilet. As for Nostalgic findings however I recently found a binder with my Marvel Masterpiece Trading Cards and DC Comics Trading Cards circa 1992. Epic find.Cool

I forget most you younglings are spoiled on the internet being available for most of your life whereas some of us old timers had to rely on porno mags for our daily sexual content since there was no internet when i was young

Not going to lie, I used to steal the demo disks out of those mags from the local Safeway when I was little LOL. Armoured Core was such a good demo hahaha.

LOL. I remember that was the one thing that pissed me off is when you had a subscription you wouldn't demo discs. They only came if you bought the magizine in the store.
