Anyone else psyched about this New ROCKSMITH game coming out?
About this time last year, I was an avid and daily guitar player, but like everything in real life, I seem to get bored of it after a time, and moved on. With that in mind, I've been in a guitar rut for a long time, and think this is going to be the way to get my Les Paul off the wall again.
It looks pretty awesome! Plug in any guitar and learn how to play while doing a REAL guitar hero!!!

Wow, that is really very coold idea. Hahahahahah, finally we will get chance to play REAL guitar.
I've had it for about 6 months now. Granted I came into the game with some decent guitar knowledge, but I am extremely impressed with how the game works. It can figure out your skill level and adjust itself to make it challenging enough that you are always learning, but not impossible. They also have exercises and mini games to help familiarize yourself with the guitar. Pretty rad alll around.
In 6 months I have learned how to play a dozen new songs by heart without having to read the music or play the game.
THe music in the game is a good mix of genres and artists and supported with some good DLC content.
And for those who think they are never going to be able to play the guitar buthave always wanted, this is how ID recomend doing it.In my opinion there is no better way to learn. For instance My buddy has never touched an instrument, Within an hour was able to play a good chunk of the ROlling Stones Song Satisfaction

I fail at all music and rhythm games, and playing music in general LOL. But this is an awesome idea because it covers one of the biggest things against Guitar Hero and the like is that now you're playing a REAL guitar and learning to play the music. Pretty smart idea!
