Skyrim's First DLC, Dawnguard Gets A Trailer

Well here we are only days away from E3 and Bethesda has once again made an early reveal. This time we get our first official taste of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's downloadable content, Dawnguard.

Yes! Finally we get our first look at Skyrim's first DLC pack, Dawnguard. So watching the trailer four time like I have you can pick up on a  few different features that are currently unavailable in Skyrim.

Before we get into features I just want to touch on the story for a moment. It seems like the story will focus around vampires... or some sort of bat creatures... or something. Now vampires are not a new feature in Skyrim, but these are the kind of vamps you call Blade in to take care of. So in terms of story it will be interesting to see how this Twilight tale plays out.

One of the thing we have been getting teases of is new features. On the surface the trailers reveals at least one new weapon in the crossbow. Now I don't use bows... like ever, but a crossbow might peak my interest into the field. Probably the most exciting addition is with mounts. I mean seriously, horses are so standard. I want to ride a mother f^%*ing dragon. -Sigh- Well it didn't show dragon mounts, there was a cool flaming horse.

To back track to dragons, there was a pretty awesome scene of one diving into a frozen lake. Not sure what that spells out, but it could indicate a difficulty enhancement for the beasts.

Dawnguard will launch sometime this summer, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if we get a release date next week. It will be available for download on Xbox 360, PlayStation3 and PC.
