CES 2010: Exclusive Interview and hands on with Capcom's Dark Void Zero on the DS

There's been tones of hype and anticipation around Capcom's jet pack fueled action adventure game Dark Void, which is set to drop this month. But what some people don't know is that Dark Void is not a new IP. It is actually based off an 8-Bit classic arcade game that never quite made it to market due to the rise of the Nintendo Entertainment System. Fortunately for us we got to sit down with Shana Bryant, the Associate Producer for Dark Void Zero on the DS.

Built off the unfinished framework of it's arcade predecessor, Dark Void Zero is a prequel to the console and PC versions. We got a chance to talk with her about her love for 8-bit classic gaming, the story and history of this franchise and see this game in action. We had a great time chatting with Shana and we're more then excited for the release of this 8-bit masterpiece later this month (exact date not confirmed). Also, we may or may not have heard somewhere that an iPhone and Mobile iteration is in the works and would be coming soon. Very soon. We'll have more news concerning that possibility another time. So for now, check out this great exclusive interview for Dark Void Zero on the DS

Yep the game will be release on the iPhone as well and I also noticed in the video during the beginning of the game that I caught Jimmy Fallon name as one of the characters in the game.

That's awesome how you have to blow the dust off before play. Nothing takes you back to the good ol' 8-bit days faster then that. xD

Agreed! that was the best Easter Egg in a game I've seen in a long while. We had a great time checking it out.
