CES 2010: Heavy Rain demo hands on and Video Interview with Sony.

The release of Heavy Rain is getting closer and the hype is building. We wanted to see what all the hype is about and got a hands on preview of the upcoming Demo with David Bull at the 2010 CES Sony booth.

Hype validated and confirmed.

While the gameplay style will be hit or miss with some users, you can't deny the beautiful graphics, amazing voice acting and innovation wrapped up in this title.

Much like the choose-your-own-adventure style books of the 80s and 90's, players will find themselves with an array of choices at nearly every action a character does in this game. How you proceed is completely up to you and even when a character is faced with death, the game may proceed. Every choice effects your story, every problem can be solved multiple ways. How you go about doing it is up to you.

Its actually the whole game. The best way to think about it is a highly immersible choose your own adventure CG movie, where you are the director and main actor for multiple characters. It uses the God of War button style timed system on a whole new level (adapted from previous releases from this publisher). There are so many combos of what it asks you to do. Sometimes it's simple presses other times its controller shakes, holding buttons, rapid presses, specific joy stick movements etc. Each of these is worked into decisions and actions your character must make.

Holy crap, that fight scene looked pretty intense with all the button combos! Definitely gonna have to be on your game to keep up with it lol. Looks really good.

I cannot wait for this game. Great to see some more action. Anyone else notice Corey's very Scottish way of saying "aboot"?

Scots say that too? I know all non-Quebec Canadians say that lol. "Aboot" and "eh" you'll hear a lot lol.

You can see why they will be gamers that will hate this game. Not enough action!! Especially these gamers who was weened on Halo and CoD want action! They dont realize story telling in just as important component to a game
