With today being the slow news day that are most Monday’s I’m resorted to writing a quasi-fluff story based on a piece of Twitter info. Yes, once again Twitter is showing that it’s becoming an actual source for news instead of being a place where I can post that I’m having a nervous breakdown.
This week Microsoft is holding their special X10 event where they’ll show a bunch of new projects, presumably some Natal goodness such as an actual game, and Peter Molyneux will unintentionally make an ass of himself due to what he says. But X10 isn’t solely a place for 1st party Microsoft games as some 3rd party studios will be attending to show off their latest 360 projects.
Besides Ubisoft announcing something they’re dubbing is “major” (probably Ghost Recon Predator) Capcom will also be in attendance. Obviously Lost Planet 2 will be on show but the zombie romp that is Dead Rising 2 will also be making a much awaited appearance. This news comes straight via Capcom Unity’s Twitter page and no real details were given aside from that DR2 and LP2 will be shown. Whether or not they’ll be playable or just shown via new trailers remains to be seen.
New info on Dead Rising 2 has been rather dead as of late since the reveal of the multiplayer component at TGS last year. With DR2 set for release later this year I guess X10 will be the start of Capcom’s media blitz leading up to some new zombie goodness at E3 in June.
I really hope they play up o the weapon combo aspect of the game. Or at least make a down-loadable pack for it. Side note on twitter.
