Giant Robot Taekwon V tower will be six times the size of Japan's giant Gundam statue

I'll be dead honest with you and start by saying I haven’t ever heard of Robot Taekwon V or his North American name Voltar the Invincible before. But after this latest news, that is a thing of the past thanks to South Korea’s soon-to-be-built robot-themed amusement park, Robot Land.

This park will have a statue of the 70s South Korean cartoon hero. And if you thought the 59 ft tall Gundam statue was big, Robot Taekwon V’s statue will be freakishly huge at 364 feet. That's twice as large as the Statue of Liberty, even if you add the base it stands on into the measurement. The South Korean robot will still be much larger.

We're doomed. Especially when you find out it's not just a statue.

People who are able to read Korean can check out this newsletter as well as the theme park’s website for more details, but one reader on technabob.com claims:

So there you have it. Kim Jong-il might have nukes in North Korea, but South Korea is jumping right to Giant Robot Tower. Awesome.
