God of War: Ghost of Sparta release date and pre-order bonus announced

Earlier this year PS3 owners were able to experience the pure epicness that was God of War 3 and now PSP owners can soon experience the rage of Kratos, albeit on a smaller scale.  God of War’s second PSP game, Ghost of Sparta, is now set for a November 2nd release. That’s per the PlayStation Blog so it’s safe to assume that’s a locked release date.

The release date for Kratos’ latest adventure wasn’t the only thing announced today as a special pre-order bonus item was also detailed.  Available to those who pre-order Ghost of Sparta at GameStop, Best Buy and Amazon.com is a bundle of awesome that will please any God of War fan. Included in the DLC based pre-order bonus is the Ghost of Sparta soundtrack, PSP & PS3 themes, a PSN Avatar, and a bonus character skin.

That’s all fairly average stuff but what makes the DLC pack so cool is the Game Directors Documentary featuring all the Game Directors from each God of War game. Former GoW Directors David Jaffe, Corey Barlog, Stig Amussen, Ru Weerasuiya and Dana Jan discuss what it was like working on the various installments of the God of War franchise.

God of War: Ghost of Sparta may not come housed in a replica of Pandora’s Box, but a few cool bonus items and a full-length documentary ought to warrant a few pre-orders from the loyal GoW fans out there.

also they are releasing a new $200 GoW PSP bundle with the game that will include a red and black PSP-3000, a download voucher for GoW: Chains of Olympus, Kick-Ass UMD movie and a 2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo. This along all DLC goodies makes for one awesome package.
