Today Sony unveiled some of their 1st party games for the PlayStation Move geared towards the casual audience and since they’ve pushed ignition on the hype machine some images of said casual games have been released. Some of these images may pique your interest while others will probably leave you shaking your head and to be honest I won’t blame you if that happens.
Motion Fighters
As you can see in the pictures below Motion Fighters casts you in the role of a tatted up bare-chested fighter as he pummels people in street fights. Gameplay wise the game seems a bit reminiscent of Sony’s PSP game The Con, albeit a more serious looking one that perhaps is too gray for its own good. The game looks like it should be a nice stress reliever and if it online play is implemented perhaps we can see a virtual Fight Club surface, complete with gamers trying to rebel against their commercialized lives as they unleash their rage on the PS3.
Motion Party
This pretty much is the latest iteration of the games found in the Eyetoy disc games that were on the PS2. Should be fun for youngsters and families though I doubt anyone over the age of 14 will get any genuine enjoyment out of it.
The Shoot
Details on The Shoot are still scarce but the game looks to be an on-rails fps game with a movie setting, hence the name. Players will find themselves on a variety of soundstages ranging from sci-fi set pieces involving robots to what appears to be a Western themed setting. The Shoot may not be that much of a revolution or definite show-piece of the PlayStation Move but if the on-rails gameplay is good and the variety is consistent The Shoot could end up being an enjoyable game to play on an afternoon.
Sports Champions
This looks to be Sony’s version of Wii Sports as games such as table tennis, golf and archery are included. We shouldn’t really be too dismissive or harsh on Sports Champions as it does look rather nice and doesn’t seem like it’s some sort of throw away game. Hopefully Sony has a nice array of sports on the disc and I personally can’t wait to hit fools with a massive sword and launch them into the air. Yup, give me a big sword and I’m sold.
TV SuperStars
Perhaps the one game geared the most at the casual audience, TV SuperStars allows players to scan their faces onto avatars which are then used in a variety of mini-games. Personally I’m a bit creeped out by how the avatars look and I think the true level of fun will be had by those who play the game under the influences of alcohol or other things. I will of course subject myself to TV SuperStars as that’s my job and I’m more than willing to take one for the team.
Yeah I'm sure there'll be some proper promo vids and stuff. When those are up I'll of course post them for all to see and tear apart in some cases.
Motion Fighter. Want. Now. Hope it's at PAX.
interesting
haha i love this. at last the evil empire that Nintendo has become will get over thrown by Sony and Microsoft.
i just wanna see the video game market balanced thats all.
That looks pretty good.

hopefully there's video of the presentation that can be put up
