While my initial attitude towards Skate 3 was something along the lines of “why the f&ck are you making this game now?” that has slowly changed thanks to the last dev diary video which showed, well at least to me, that Skate 3 won’t just be a simple cash-in. A few borrowed elements from Skate 2 will most likely pop up in the new iteration of Skate but hey, you can’t reinvent the wheel every time now can you?
Over on the official Skate 3 blog the first Clip of the Week has been posted thanks to one of the developers on the project. This inaugural Clip of the Week showcases the many pools that Port Carverton allows skaters to shred in. The small sampling of gameplay footage isn’t jaw dropping or anything but it just proves that Skate 3 is pound for pound the best skating game out there and probably will be for quite some time.
