These new God of War 3 images are simply jaw-dropping

Last week we got a tease at a new boss battle in God of War 3 and today we have some amazing new screens for the game. Sadly the screens aren’t high-res images of the Poseidon battle but I think seeing Kratos scale Gaia while fighting what’s being described as an “elemental spider creature” is sufficient enough material on the God of War 3 badass media hype meter.

After Burner Climax is coming to XBLA and this is what it looks like

When it comes to arcade games that are pure unadulterated fun Sega’s After Burner Climax is easily the definition of arcade goodness.  Featuring slick visuals, extremely fast gameplay and enough explosions that would make Michael Bay proud, After Burner Climax is simply a tour de force of what makes arcade games so much fun.  So with that being said it’s a pleasant surprise that the game is headed to Xbox Live Arcade.

Leaked tech demo of Fortress, the Final Fantasy XII spin-off

Last August we got a glimpse at Fortress, a spin-off of Final Fantasy XII being developed by Grin.  The game, which was partially responsible for why Grin closed as SE pulled them from the project, showed some promise in the concept art that was leaked looked as it was a nice departure from what we usually see in Final Fantasy.  While Square Enix is still developing the game via an internal studio we now have an

CES 2010: EyePet exclusive video interview and gameplay

While we were getting a tour of the Sony booth, we made sure to stop and say hi to Malcolm stationed at the EyePet demo. We were lucky enough to get a quick overview of how EyePet will work and get a hands on demo!

The level of interactivity is pretty impressive. While we couldn't confirm or deny any DLC info, we think it's pretty safe to say that new pets, costumes and activities will be made availability down the road. Maybe even at launch.

Ubisoft comments on the new Assassin's Creed game

On Wednesday gamers were somewhat shocked at Ubisoft’s announcement of another installment of Assassin’s Creed. Everyone is expecting another AC game after the absurd cliff-hanger ending of AC2 and the massive sales it generated but no one expected Ubisoft to announce a follow-up that soon.  Well Ubisoft announced the new installment of Assassin’s Creed so early because it’s not a full fledged sequel and is merely a small follow-up to AC2.

Choose the course of action in this new Just Cause 2 trailer

Just Cause 2 looks to pack a mighty wallop of action goodness and we’ve witnessed some of that already in the previously released trailers.  But the latest trailer for the game is perhaps the coolest since it does the best job at showing the multiple ways you can tackle missions and blow stuff up.

Rebellion announces Aliens vs. Predator Classic for the PC

Next month sees the release of Aliens vs. Predator for the PS3, 360 and PC.  While the footage we’ve seen looks good there’s still a small sense of paranoia amongst fans of both characters and fps players alike that the game may not be up to snuff.  Not only does the game have to compete against fan expectations and the industry standard for the genre it has the legacy of the original Aliens vs. Predator game to compete against as well.
